Hi
I hope you've had another good week.
This is the last time I will be updating the Year 3 homework page as we finish the school year for the summer holidays this week. It is such a shame that the year has ended in this strange way and that we didn't get to have our last term together, but at least we did have two wonderful terms together with lots of lovely memories to look back on
This week I have uploaded some Summer themed activity booklets for both Maths and English to help you practise some key skills from Year 3. You should pick a couple of activities to complete this week and if you would like some tasks to do over the summer holidays, you can complete the rest of the booklets. There are some fun activities included so take a look! There is also one last Science task to complete this week - work your way through the Power Point about Sun safety, then create a poster to show people how to keep safe in the sun.
I have also uploaded some transition from Y3 to Y4 booklets as well as a Times Tables Challenge if you want some extra practise over the summer. I have uploaded an Iron Age shield activity and end of year review for you to have a look at (if you are coming into school on Wednesday don't do these at home, as we will be doing these then - as well as some fun activities).
I have missed you greatly, so I'm really looking forward to seeing some of you on Wednesday if you have chosen to come in for one of the Year 3 sessions to finish off the year. It will be lovely to see so many of you and to spend some time together Remember if you are coming for the morning session it is 9-11.30 am and the afternoon session is 12.45-3.15pm. Please remember to bring the parent comment sheet from your report, your pencil case and drink. You will be able to take your Year 3 books home with you after your visit.
I'm so proud of you for how you have continued to work hard at home and keep up with your learning. This will really help you when you start Year 4 in September.
I hope you have a great summer. I'm super excited because I'm getting a puppy so I'll be busy over the holidays training her! I've added a picture below.
Take care and stay safe.
Love from
Miss Shaw
Dear Parents/Carers
I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank you all for your continued support during the year. I have thoroughly enjoyed teaching this class, the children are absolutely delightful and a real credit to you with their excellent behaviour and work ethic. Thank you also, for all your support during this unusual and difficult time. I have greatly appreciated you keeping me updated on the children's home learning and wellbeing. I hope you all have a fabulous Summer break and I wish the children all the very best for Year 4.
See you back in school in September.
Very best wishes
Miss Shaw
