Week Commencing 18th January 2021

To Year 4 children and parents,

Last week was another week where you all worked so hard, and I am extremely proud of all of you. Let's continue to work hard this week and see what we can achieve! You have adapted so well to remote learning and are giving it your all. The highlight of the week for me was your 'Winter scene' descriptions on Friday: wow, they were amazing! You made lots of progress with equivalent fractions too, and responded well when I challenged you more on Friday.

I have received most of your machine explanation texts now, which is excellent. If you haven't yet emailed it to me, send it to me as soon as you can because I want to give you all some proper feedback to help your writing. You can also send me any work that you are proud of (or anything interesting that you have done at home) and I'll put it on the website.

Make sure you continue to log on to the zoom calls on time; this is very important because if you miss the beginning it can be difficult to understand what you are learning.

Year 4 Homework: Friday 22nd January

1) I have set a 2do on Purple Mash, which will enable you to make up your own quiz. Think about some of the things we have learnt recently and see if you can make up a quiz to test your class-mates with on zoom next week!

2) Reading: make sure you take some time to sit and read a book, either on Oxford Owl or a book you have at home. It is important for your wellbeing to have this quiet time when you can escape into a book.

Don't forget to get some fresh air and exercise too! Whether it's walking or running with your family, or personal challenges, it all makes a difference to how you feel :-)

Have a lovely weekend

Mrs. Simon
