This week we are reading 'The Magic Paintbrush' by Julia Donaldson.
Wednesday- Look at the front cover on the PowerPoint slides and make your prediction. Then read the story and complete the table to make inferences about the characters' actions.
Thursday- The story below is also called 'The Magic Paintbrush' and is a Chinese folktale. Read this version of the story and compare it with the Julia Donaldson story from yesterday.
On a piece of paper, under the two headings 'Similarities' and 'Differences', write down anything that is similar about the two stories and things that are different.

Test the different objects to see if they can be changed by squashing, bending, twisting or stretching and complete the sheet.
