Welcome to Summer 1 in Nursery. 😊

Your teacher is Ms. Van Cook and your teaching assistant is Miss Crabtree. 

General Information:

• Everyday in school, your child will need their book bag and a named water bottle. Labelled wellies are an essential part of your child's uniform as Well Green Nursery has at present, a qualified Forest School practitioner and play therapist working with your child as part of their science and PSRHE curriculum.  
• Snacks of fruit and vegetables, breadsticks, crackers, cereal etc are provided in Nursery. Your child has access to snack whenever they feel they need it. Please do not pack additional snacks. 
• The school’s kitchen team provide excellent meals for all Nursery children. The school kitchen is happy to meet any dietary requirements. Alternatively, you can send in a packed lunch.
• Homework: This will be set every Friday and the task will be detailed in the Parent Weekly Letter. It will be in your child's Busy Bee Book. Please feel free to send a photo to my e-mail if you would like. We can then include it in your child's Learning Journey. 

Reading

Reading is possibly the most important skill your child will learn. Therefore we share a book and assess your child every week in Guided Reading. We read a number of books each week and we have a focus on two every week. Please support your child by reading with them every evening. This can be any book but we will send home a Guided Reading book and a 'free choice' book every week.
