Dear Year 4,
I hope you have managed to have a nice break at half term and that you were able to spend some time with your families. I'm sure you all feel rested and are raring to go again! You worked incredibly hard last half term and it is really important that you continue to work hard, so that you don't miss out on important learning. We will be back in school before you know it!
It is World Book Week this week, so we will be doing a special activity on Monday and through the week. Shhhh! I'll tell you all about it on Monday!
This half term, we have lots to get our teeth into, including decimals in Maths, and poetry and Treasure Island story-writing in English. Our new Science topic is 'Sound' and in Geography, we will be doing some work on comparing Hale/Hale Barns with Castleton in the Peak District. In Computing, we will be learning about writing for different audiences.
Looking forward to seeing you all again on Monday morning. Make sure you're on time and smiling!
From Mrs. Simon
Homework: Friday 26th February
I have set two Mymaths tasks this week for you to try. One is all about negative numbers, which we revised on Monday. The other is about Roman Numerals, which we will be doing this coming Monday.
You can also have a look at the French story 'Les quatres amis' again and see whether you can work out any of the words and phrases in preparation for next week.
Have a lovely weekend!
Mrs. Simon
