Football Match Reports
The first 2 games of the season at Timperley Sports Club have taken place. The team have made a positive start and are working as a team, supporting each other well.
Tournament 1 results:
Broomfield 1 – 2 Well Green
Bollin 4 – 0 Well Green
Elmridge 2 – 1 Well Green
The matches went well; however, next time we could have a stronger defense. We were often leaving just 1 at the back. We also need to stay in our positions and not run all over the place. (By Rory and Darius)
Tournament 2 results:
St Vincents 1 – 0 Well Green
Forest 0 – 3 Well Green
Navigation 2 – 2 Well Green
This time the matches went well. We won one, lost one and drew one. Since last time, the defenders have started to track back. We scored more goals as well, with Alfie’s wonder goal and Hassaan and Darius’ goals. However, we still have space to improve. We interviewed Alfie and he said, “We did better than last time as we had better defenders. Of course, my goal was the best goal in the tournament.”
Our four enthusiastic Sports Leaders had a great first training session at Old Trafford in October. Watch this space for more Sports Leader news!
