Head's Welcome

Welcome to Well Green Primary School

'Pupils know that leaders and all staff have high expectations of them. Pupils are highly motivated to meet these expectations. Their behaviour is impeccable. They listen attentively to instructions and focus on the task in hand. Pupils would not contemplate disrupting anybody else's learning. They are too busy learning together and supporting each other.' A Warm Welcome from the Headteacher

On behalf of all the staff at Well Green Primary School, I would like to extend a very warm welcome to you and your family. We are delighted that you are considering, or are already part of, our vibrant and caring school community.

At Well Green, we are proud to set high academic standards for all our children. However, we know that the best outcomes are achieved not through pressure, but through joy in learning, confidence in oneself, and the courage to try something new. We believe that happy children who feel safe, valued, and inspired are the ones who thrive — both in the classroom and beyond.

As parents and carers, you are the most important people in your child’s life, and your involvement in their learning journey is vital. We are committed to working in close partnership with you, and we warmly invite you to take an active role in school life. Together, we can provide the support and encouragement children need to become curious, independent, and resilient learners.

Whether you are a prospective parent, a visitor, or already a member of our school family, we hope our website offers a helpful insight into what makes Well Green such a special place to learn and grow. That said, no website can fully capture the energy, warmth and ambition that defines our school — so we would love to welcome you for a visit. Please don’t hesitate to contact Mr Chris Ayres or Mr Michael Garside in the school office to arrange a time to see us in action.

We are proud of our children, our staff, and our community — and we look forward to sharing the Well Green journey with you.

Warm regards,
Tom Tien-Rhimes
