General Information:
  • Every day in school your child will need their book bag and a named water bottle, labelled wellington boots, LABELLED spare clothes in a drawstring bag.
  • Your child will need a WARM waterproof coat with a hood.
  • The children have a lot of exercise outside, but we will also use the hall every Wednesday afternoon for P.E. Your child will need to remove their shoes, socks or tights.
  • Snacks of fruit, vegetables, cereal, milk, breadsticks and crackers are provided.  Please note we are Healthy School- no nuts or products containing nuts/ chocolate, e.g. Nutella.
  • Homework: This will be uploaded on the website every Friday.
  • Guided Reading is part of your child's learning. Pease see Ms Van Cook about accessing our online reading journal for your child.
How you can access your child's learning:

You will be able to  access your child's learning via 'Tapestry'. Please see Ms Van Cook about accessing this for your child.

Continuous Provision-  the adults in Nursery use academic research to inform provision and activities to create a learning environment with activities that maximise children's learning. Some resources are a constant, some are changed depending on the learning goals set that week.

1-1 work with a Nursery adult-this is when a child may need a bit extra support or quiet time to access learning attached to age-related tasks.

Small group Focus work- this is where children work in small Kagan groups and work with an adult to access a learning task.

Your child will be assessed  again this term using T.A.S.S and WellComm. These assessments check speech sounds and comprehension.  If your child needs support, they will placed in an intervention group, they will have 3 weekly sessions. You will be informed of their targets so you can work on these at home to optimise your child’s progress.
