The activities in these short videos support pre-writing skills. Children are using gross and fine motor skills to build up the muscles they will need for writing. They need to build up strength and stamina in their fingers, but also in their arms and shoulders too. It would be helpful if your child could access these activities at home. Please see me if you need any resources or advice on this.
Communication and language skills are also necessary for writing. Discussing things in Role Play and in our Communication Cafe builds up children's knowledge of how language works syntactically. It also teaches and embeds new vocabulary, which leads to more interesting writing later on.
